Welcome to Alaska Village Electric Cooperative
We’re a non-profit electric utility, owned by the people we serve in 53 villages throughout interior and western Alaska. In fact, the AVEC service area is the largest of any electric cooperative in the world.
Our members come from many different cultures, speak different languages and some live over a thousand miles apart. Yet, we are united in our efforts to bring a stable source of electricity into our homes and to enhance the quality of our lives.
We invite you to explore this site, learn more about your cooperative and the villages we serve, and see how we can best meet your needs.
